Sergent Construction provides design-build solutions to our clients’ construction needs while maintaining our integrity through honesty, hard work, and open communications.  Sergent Construction is a general contracting firm founded in 1980 specifically to service the Federal Government.  Our mission to service the Federal Government continues today as our primary market remains in the Federal realm with an emphasis on DOD, VA, and USACE clientele.  Our construction projects typically take place at military or government installations and we have provided construction services in support of contracts with all major branches of the US military including Coast Guard, Navy, Army and National Guard Units.

Early in our experience, most DoD construction contracts were of the construct-as-designed, firm fixed price type.  Eventually, the DOD changed their contracting methodology and began awarding more best-value, performance specification, design-build, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, and Job Order Contracts (JOC).  Sergent Construction continued our contracting efforts under this new paradigm.  Since this change in contracting methodology, Sergent Construction has been awarded numerous design-build projects and IDIQ type contracts.  There are a wide variety of IDIQ contracts that Sergent Construction has participated in including the following types: Task Order Contracts (TOC), Solution Order Contracts (SOC), Job Order Contract (JOC), Multiple Award Construction Contracts (MACC), and Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs).  Our clients in the IDIQ contracting arena have been: US Navy, US Coast Guard, VA, USACE, and the Air National Guard.  We have been awarded contracts and successfully completed projects in a wide range of geographical locations including: Northern and Southern California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Alabama, New York, Virginia, Ohio, Louisiana, Nevada, Tennessee, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington.

Sergent’s management team has combined construction experience totaling over 95 years and well over $250 million of work in place.  This experience provides for a management team that is well versed in all aspects of Government contracting.  Also, through this experience, we have evolved to a general construction contractor that is not only empathetic to our clients’ needs, but has the requisite skills, knowledge, and abilities to meet those needs.

Sergent Construction also has extensive strategic relationships with design team members that are licensed professional engineers in the following disciplines: architectural, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, landscape, and fire protection.  Our design team members have demonstrated abilities to complete designs from conceptual ideas, sketches, performance specifications, or from scopes of work.

To support these design-build efforts as well as all design-bid-build project, we have seasoned team of management and construction specialist to provide on-site management and execution of all types of construction projects – projects that range in scopes from simple to complex.
